THAI MASSAGE
During Thai massage, the therapist will apply pressure with thumbs, palms, hands, elbows, knees, and feet to manipulate and stretch your body. Thai massage focuses on energy lines or “Sen lines” in Thai. Pressure points and trigger points are applied to release blocked energy and increase new energy flow along the lines. The stretching techniques during Thai massage are similar in benefits to those of doing Yoga. Thai massage doesn’t require any oils, lotions, or creams. Clients wear relaxed loose-fitting clothing (i.e.: sweat or yoga pants and a loose tee shirt). As tensions are alleviated in your muscles, you will reconnect with your body, mind, and spirit.

SA WAN THAI HERBAL POULTICE MASSAGE
A traditional Thai massage treatment that combines Swedish massage strokes and Thai stretching with warm herbal compresses to help relax, detoxify, increase blood flow, and stimulate the lymphatic system. The Poultice compresses are filled with Thai herbs and spices, including lemongrass, turmeric, prai, kaffir lime, camphor, and tamarind. This special blend of herbs helps to relieve muscle and joint pain, increase blood circulation, and nourish and revitalize the skin. The Sa-Wan Thai Herbal compresses have stimulating benefits that penetrate deep into muscles and tissues for anti-inflammatory purposes and therapeutic healing. It is used to provide the same type of stimulation as acupressure along energy channels, known as Sen Sib lines in Thailand. It is pressed along the Sen Sib lines or acupressure zones of the body.

TRADITIONAL THAI LANNA TOK SEN
Tok Sen means “take off energy lines” in Thai. In other words, it is a technique to clear blocked energy. An ancient form of therapy using a special wooden instrument to tap away the negative energy and ease muscle tension. It uses mechanical and sound vibration, working deeply through the fascia and muscles. This unique healing modality is found only in the Chiang Mai area of Northern Thailand (Lanna). Tok Sen is thought to date back over 5000 years and was developed in Lanna while acupuncture developed in China. It is an energetic healing modality and is still practiced in the country areas, where farmers receive Tok Sen from family members after working in the fields all day.
