Why use floatation regularly?
The more you float the better it gets! Each float session is unique and two floats are never the same.

- Enhance personal and spiritual growth
- Best environment for the deepest meditation
- Relieve injuries, especially back aches
- Ease arthritis and fibromyalgia
- Improve the condition of skin
- Detoxify the system
- Aid weight loss
- Useful in pregnancy (for the full 9 months)
- Increase creativity and imagination
- Increase circulation and energy levels
- Balance the left and right brain
- Improve concentration
- Help recovery from addictions, phobias and depression
- Regulate sleeping patterns; 1 hour of floating simulates 4 hours of sleep
- Recovery from physical workouts
What effects does floating have on the body?
Floating is a wonderful way of attaining the deepest relaxation – it has been said that just one hour of floating can have the restorative effect of four hours of deep sleep.
The body balances and heals internally as all the senses are rested in a gravity-free environment. Research shows that floating measurably reduces blood pressure and heart rate while lowering the levels of stress-related chemicals in the body. Injuries and aches (especially back aches) are relieved as floating helps blood circulation. It is also fantastic using it after a natural health treatment to deeply relax and absorb the treatment better.
Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) has been used for thousands of years as a treatment for aches, pains and skin ailments. Magnesium is incredibly important to health and wellbeing, and almost everyone is deficient in this mineral that is vital in over 300 enzymatic functions. Adequate levels of magnesium are correlated with lower incidences of coronary heart disease, lower blood pressure, better quality of sleep, cholesterol improvement and lower stress levels. It is also necessary for the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system. Supplementation through the skin while floating is the best way to absorb magnesium due to the large amount of magnesium sulfate dissolved in the water.
Floatation is widely used in the treatment of stress, anxiety, jet lag and to improve concentration and creativity. Sports performance is also enhanced from floating.
What effects does floating have on the mind?
During a float, you produce slower brain wave patterns known as theta waves, which are normally experienced only during a deep meditation or just before falling asleep or awakening. This is usually accompanied by vivid imagery, very clear and creative thoughts, sudden insights and inspirations, or feelings of profound peace and joy, induced by the release of endorphins (the body’s natural opiates). Because of these effects, floating is effectively used in the treatment of depression and addictions, including smoking and alcohol. It is also used in schools and universities as a tool for superlearning.
